A place to laugh, a place to share, a place to learn, perhaps to cry or lend a hand as we journey toghether and grow as parents, lovers, homemakers, nation builders and children of the Most High!!!

AH, NO O!!! ONCE IS JUST ENOUGH!!!
Its so sad when one looses a loved one.
It really must be traumatic to loose a friend, an ally, a lover and a compatriot.
The death of a spouse can't be easy to bear at all especially when that loved on has been responsible in duty.
I always wonder what must be going on in the minds of widowed women as the wail over the loss of their husbands.
Could they be wailing the loss of a breadwinner? Could their cries be from fear of not knowing how to continue alone? Could it be because they cannot tell what fate awaits them in the hands of cruel relatives and evil traditions?
or could it just be borne out of obligation so that people wont think she didn't love her husband or worse.....

JUST LIKE ROAD-RUNNER AND COYOTE!!!
Who ever watched 'Roadrunner and Coyote'?
It is a cartoon that aired years ago. Pretty inane really.
Just about Coyote chasing Roadrunner in every episode and never catching it. In true cartoon style, there was dynamite blowups, heavy things falling from the sky, boobie traps and allsorts of other stuffs employed by Coyote to catch Roadrunner, but inspite of it all he never could catch Coyote.
My friend Andrea and I used to discuss what would happen if Coyote eventually got to catch Roadrunner.
Then ONE DAY.......

GETTING CHILDREN TO HELP WITH HOUSEWORK
When I was
growing up, doing house chores was a normal part of being a child and a member
of one’s family.
As soon as
we were able to handle a broom, we were given ‘our own’ little brooms and assigned
to a part of the house which we had the responsibility to keep clean.
The challenges
of urban living may have contributed to the fact that children these days no
longer have the ‘pleasure’ of learning to do chores at home.
I can relate
to the statement above, as, once the children wake up in the morning, its all
systems go – the commute to school, school, homework, afterschool activities
etc., and the weekend schedules are not lighter – weddings, church, meetings
and visitations.......

KITCHEN TIMESAVING TIPS
Who wouldn't like to find ways of saving time, particularly food preparation time?
Well am about to share some of my favourite kitchen time saving tips here.....
You can thank me later for it OK? *winks*.
First, let me say that if you have a medium to large family or you entertain a bit, then the deep/chest freezer is your friend - that is if you live in an area where you have access to some electricity power supply. Hello??? Am not forgetting that we are in Nigeria here ;D.
